The British Airways Heritage Collection has existed since the formation of British Airways. It was formed to preserve the records and artefacts of British Airways predecessor companies BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation), BEA (British European Airways), BSAA (British South American Airways) and the pre-war Imperial Airways and British Airways Ltd. The collection comprises an extensive document archive recording the formation, development and operations of British Airways and its predecessor companies as well as memorabilia and artefacts.

In the BA Heritage Museum, over 400 uniforms from the 1930s to the present day are preserved, as well as a large collection of aircraft models. A historically important library of thousands of photographs is also available as well as probably the most complete set of aviation posters in the UK. More impressively, the Museum hosts complete sets of current British Airways on-board seating products – First (flagship first class product), Club World (the world’s first flatbed business class seat), World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy Class) and World Traveller (Economy Class) seats.

The Heritage Museum will be opened for visitors before the lecture and the Branch look forward to welcoming all members and non-members to see this spectacular collection. For more information about this and future events/lectures, or if you would like to register for this event, visit our event registration site – ★REGISTER NOW★ @tiny.cc/RAeSLHR.
