Registrations are open for the 5th ADS Members Forum. The event will be hosted by ADS Member, Airbus, at their facility in Filton, Bristol. This is a full day event and will cover updates from industry seniors from across our four sectors (Aerospace, Defence, Security & Space), with the sessions focusing on themes such as; supply chain competitiveness, customer engagement and business development. The event also provides you with the opportunity to engage and network with wider industry seniors and Members and to take part in a guided site tour of the Airbus Filton facility. The Saunders-Roe Princess by Bob Wealthy. The Saunders-Roe SR.45 Princess was a flying boat aircraft built by Saunders-Roe, based in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. ‘From Harriers to Falcons – Military Flying in the Modern Era’ by Simon Jessett. Simon entered the RAF from school and prior to concluding his career as a Wing Commander flew over 2000 hours in the Harrier, including missions enforcing no-fly zones over Iraq and as a participant in the Nato bombing of Kosovo. In 2010, within months of his appointment as commander of No.4 Squadron, the scrapping of the Harrier prompted his own retirement from the service. Now Falcon 20 Captain and Head of Training at Cobham Air Services, Simon’s continuing military involvement provides further fascinating insights into the evolving role of air power in defence.
